VP of Content Technology, Entrust

Dr. Suhayya (Sue) Abu-Hakima, is currently the VP of Content Technology at Entrust focussing on automatic content analysis for compliance. Sue is Founder, President/CEO of AmikaNow! Corporation whose compliance technology and business was purchased by Entrust in 2004. Sue's vision provided the basis for the Amika(tm) products and solutions. Sue managed the AmikaNow! business strategy, ensuring that product development matches customer pain points, and worked to forge and strengthen strategic partnerships. Her leadership was key in raising private financing, and in forming the management, business and technical teams. She launched AmikaNow! as a spin-off from the National Research Council Government R&D Labs, where she spent 11 years applying artificial intelligence (AI) to real-world problems as diverse as aircraft engine diagnosis and intelligent network management. Previously, she was with Nortel Labs. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering from McGill University and Masters and Doctorate degrees from Carleton University specializing in Artificial Intelligence algorithms. She holds an Adjunct Professor position at the University of Ottawa. She sits on the board of directors of the Ontario Centers of Excellence and chairs the CITO board of management. She has over 100 publications, 6 patents granted in the US and Canada and 6 patents pending as applied to messaging in wired and wireless networks. Sue is an avid Ottawa Senators hockey fan.
